I have some chew bones which my pawrents are hiding from me. I keep asking them where it is. "WHERE ARE MY BONES?!"They ignored me.. so I keep on pestering them.. following them around so I can get my bones..
Ah.. finally! there it is! now I have to jump to get it.
Hahahahaha! I got the bone! my high jumping skills paid off
yum yum.. now I can munch on my bone in peace.

Flashback!

I have been MIA for soo long.. so I will from time to time place some flashbacks of what I'm doing.

In Dubai, we have cold season during December, back then I still have my long hair.

I went to the park with mom and dad.. I want to sniff everything! including daddy's feet.

I love to play with my rubber ball. although the squeekee got lost.. wonder who took it.. mom said I bit it too hard.. hmph!

Even though.. I still had fun chasing it..

Everytime we come here, we get approached by locals. They are saying "fine.. fine.. law.." though there are no poster showing "no toffee allowed" they want us out of the park..

even if I am on my bestest behavior.. so here's me trying to look cute.. maybe it will work..

It DIDN'T! so we got chucked out of the park.. it was dark by then anyway.. so we went home!

I'm sure with the stubbornest of my pawrents.. we'll be back again soon in that park!

Ohhhhh.... my... gosh!

It's been like... 4 months since my last post...

Quick feedback and why it happened:

1. Jan - mom still didn't find job.. but very busy finding one

2. Feb - mom found job and got very busy turnover of her works

3. Mar - started her new job and very busy.. again

4. April - getting into the routine but STILL very busy..

I'm glad my furrends still remember me... sorry mom's very busy hogging the computer all the time..

I'm sure you will be surprised to see me...

I'm a bit bushy now because it's summer and pretty darn hot.. like a blast furnace in Dubai.. so my pawrents took me for grooming..

We went to Uptown Mirdiff and check out the shops there.

Backseat on "moo" (my pawrents non-furry new pet) with my new friends.

We went to the mall and found Paws and Claws petshop.. they like the Pom.. pom... uh.. that white puppy.. but were shocked to find out that the price was 12,000AED!!!! about 3000$$$$$$

I saw something moving inside that small aquarium.. wonder what that is...

yooo hoooooooooooo.. anybody home??? I poked my head inside that doghouse..

yowza!!!!!! I found a chest full of treasures!

oh, I got my yearly shots today also plus renewed my Tag.. My pawrents didn't get picture because it may not be allowed. I didn't even flinched. =)

First of all, I'm sorry that my cards will be late... the post office is closed due to the Eid holidays.. but! I hope you'll still enjoy them. I am soooo embawassed...

Still, mommy has to find work.. so I'm putting it on top of my christmas list.. because once mom get this work thing figured out then the next wish of treats will come true.. plus I have to get some gifties to my furrends especially with my best pal Huskee's wedding!

So now.. it's my Daddy's birfday! he claims it's unfair because his birfday and xmas gifts are together.. so I give him extra licks...

I wuf daddy.. he let's me wrestle with him..

He grooms me everyday..He let's me search for whatever it was in his hair..

And he takes me wherever he goes.. if possible.. even those not allowed for me..

Mommy went off to South Africa for a business trip and she's very busy ignoring me!

I humbly approached the judge a.k.a. dad bringing only a piece of paper.

Judge (Dad): what is this?

Toffee: this is a petition from my friends initiated by my bestest buddy Huskee Boy

Judge (Dad): so this Huskee Boy and your furrends made a petition to release you from jail?

Toffee: yes your Judgeship

Judge (Dad): (scans the document) do you think I'll pardon you because of this?

Toffee: uhm... yes?

Judge (Dad): what if I don't?

Toffee: my furrends will rescue me and organise for a massive breakout.

Judge (Dad):............

Toffee: and it won't look good for your image if that happens right?

Judge (Dad): are you threatening me?

Toffee: uhm... yes?

Judge (Dad): oh.. uhm... okay.. I will release you from jail..

Toffee: yes your Dadship.

Judge (dad): a complaint has been given, stating that you have peed and pooped at the (reads the document again) uh.. Big big bed while no one was in the bedroom?

Toffee: no! I can't climb the big big bed

Judge (dad): we have exhibit A

Judge (dad): do you recognise this?

Toffee: yes, uh.. that's the box I won from the Pets on Pawrade Contest.

Judge (dad): you have used this as an accomplice so you can climb the big big bed. Is it correct?

Toffee: uhhh... uhhh.. umm.. I might have used that.. gulp..
Judge (dad): then the box toppled over and you don't know how to get down so you soiled the big big bed.
Toffee: waah! I just want to see the big big bed.. I got scared and I can't go down.

My new Camera!

okay okay.. so it's my pawrent's camera.. but since I'm always their model then it is MY camera.

I'm still upset over them not bringing me to the GITEX so I could give my paws (thumbs) up over their selection.

GITEX is a yearly event here in U.A.E. wherein all electronics would have some promotions.

sooo... my pawrents had their plastic ready.. they wanted to have a good camera and it seems every month there's a new one coming.

they bought this one..

Nikon D80.. hmm.. this looks bigger than the old camera.. I heard it cost's a fortune.. could be worth my yearly amount of kibbles..

they think that it's like a one time investment thing.. and rather buying a new digicam every year, would be better to just buy lenses.. though I've heard lenses cost so high too.

So they are happy with the new toy. Dad is going to study it and hopefully get some good shots of me, right?

My trip to Fujeirah Beach..

Last weekend.. me, my pawrents and their friends went for a road trip to Fujeirah..

They woke me up at 4 a.m.! even the birds are not yet awake.. sheesh!

I'm still sleepy!

The sun is coming up now...
Wake me up when we get there ok.. I'm going back to sleep.

Finally! we are here..
I was like.. "woah!!!"

My pawrents are excited to get to the beach... Hey! I think you forgot someone!

Dryin up..I went to the sandy area and rubbed myself in the sand.. mom wasn't able to get a picture of me doing it.

They let me alone to roam the beach.. then they saw 2 crows above me. Dad was yelling for mom to get me. Mom said it was only 2 crows.. then while saying it.. a big flock of crows.. like 20 of them were circling me like vultures..

you should have seen mom running so fast like she was on an olympic race contest.. grabbing a handful of sand and throwing at those big black bad birds!

Me? I don't even know what was happening.

So.. they let me roam free again because all those pesky birds are gone.. they've spoken too soon..those mean old birds are hiding in the trees! When they saw I'm alone again, they all got out and tried to attack me! so mom ran again to me and scooped me up before those bad birdies flew me away.. otherwise.. you.. my furrends won't see me again..

When it was 9 a.m... we went home.. the sun is so hot by then.

Even the sands became a bit reddish.. not that clear here though.

I would like to apologise to my furrends.. I haven't been posting much and have alot of catching up on the blogs..

Mommy has been very busy trying to find work.. I mean.. what could be more important than my blog? work is sooo boring.. poor mom had a hard time finding one which suits her degree and line of experience..

So enough about boring mom..

Meet SkYe..

He is my pawrents' 1st baby.. but I'm more cuter than he is. He's my friend (sort of). He doesn't like me shedding fur inside and I have to stay in my carrier.. but sometimes when he is in the mood, he lets me come out.

SkYe is here before I did.. my pawrents never got to bless him in the church when he is new. He's almost 2 years old. His buffday is November 8, 2005.

So we went to church and had him blessed.. We met the priest "Father Zaki". He's very nice. He gave me zananas!

See that priest in white? He also sprayed me with holy water.. so I'm blessed too.. hehe!

Daddy was recording the whole event.. he was ordered to open the doors, the hood...

Skye's best pal is there too.. I was told she (yes, the car is a she) was named "Christine".

See that maroon car next to Skye? That guy is her owner. The one in brown.

she also had her hood open too.. see the priest?

So I'm at the bench near Skye while the ceremony was taking place.

I went near him once the ceremony was over.. I wonder if it hurt or might change him.. so I'm a bit scared to come out.

So when I see he's still the same Skye.. we have our picture taken. See the resemblance?

Hello my furrends..

Remember I won in the Most Adorable Pet on the "Pets on Parade" event?

Mom got a look into the news today and our names are there.. although both are spelled wrong..

so the Toffee is spelled Tofi and Mom Irvi was spelled Ervy.. oh well! there's no pictures of us too.. so I'm a bit disappointed. Just that dumb monkey who peed on his owner's back.. sheesh

plus they haven't mentioned anything about Snowy and other winners too. We have a group picture in the end and they didn't post that.

I have heard that the Arab News has more photos but we never got to read one because we can't understand arabic. I'm sure they would have done a better job than Gulf News.

Pets in Pawrade!

Finally.. Daddy said "yes"!

To make sure he kept his word.. I went with him to his office.

We arrived at almost 6! They said it starts at 6.. good thing they waited for most of us. Since hoomans have work today.

Then my pawrents tried to put my harness and leash. Then they realised something. They can't find my leash Mommy LOST my leash! she must have lost in it the mall. (we tried looking home when we got back but it wasn't there anymore too. I kinda loved that leash because it goes long and short plus a stopper which is the longest leash available too..)

So mom and dad were arguing where the heck is the leash since I need to be guided. So Mommy went to one of the booth where they sell animals and "borrowed" their leash. Mommy looked so proud of herself and poked her tongue out at dad.

Here I am.. wondering where Snowy and Crystal would be. I'm wearing my striped sailor suit.
I don't know anypawdy.. I hope they come soon.. oh! this will be my pawstume also for the "Bond" pawty!

I was kind of okay when I'm almost at the stage. Then I heard loud music! I hate loud music so I freaked out right on the stage. Mom doesn't know what to do and then just carried me to the stage..

I won the 1st prize for the Most Adorable Pet! I can't believe it! even my pawrents can't believe it. Snowy won for the Best Dressed.

Lookie I won a small box and a big big box.

I opened the big big box and checked what's inside.. hmm chocodate.. it's not allowed for us to have one so I gave it to mom and dad..

1. Where is your favorite place to sleep?
I would say... the big big hooman bed.. but since I NEVER get to sleep there..

so..I sleep in my own bed..

2. Is there a specific trick your humans make you do to get treats?

nahhh.. but I make my pawrents do tricks.. I make them give me treats!

3. If you could spend an entire day doing anything at all with anyone what would do and with whom?

I would not like one entire day but the whole 24/7 bit! My pawrents are both working but they try to take me to work.. I'm happy having them around during mornings and evenings and during their weekend.. they make sure all activities include me.. I'm always getting them into risk by getting me sneaked in. But they do the doofus "huh, we didn't know" act down to pat when I get caught.

I would want a no-work rule.. all play.. down at the beach.. with a packed picnic lunch..

4. What is your favorite toy?

That's a toughie.. you see.. I like all my toys and I make sure I play with all of them.. what I don't like is when my pawrents take them out of my bed so I get it from wherever and place them back in my bed. I'm a very neat pup. I have many additions to my toys from the pressie Huskee sent me. I was playing with the rope toy now too.

5. If you could change one thing in your life, what would it be?

Hmmmm.. maybe have a place where we all DWB would be together and get to play and see each other! And we could bring our pawrents if they're nice enough..

I found this neat article on Gulf News! I got sooo excited!

It's about a pet parade.. wowowoof! that's something new alright..

I hope I get to go.. I think this is one of the bestest idea they've come up so far on this Dubai's Summer Surprises (DSS). This is a celebration every summer for the kids. But I"m a kid too so I should join the fun! And I could meet lotsa new furrends!

It's this Thursday 5:30 pm. It's a work day for both of my pawrents. I heard Daddy has some company party.. but I hope he'll skip it so we can get to go to this kewl activity!

I wanna go! so how can I convince them? I'm sooo excited! What will I wear? (NOT the Pink shirt!)

I went to this petshop.. Petzone.. it's near that big big highway..

The first doggie pals I've seen are these cute Bischon Frise..

Hello my furrends..

I'm sorry I wasn't able to make any updates last week. There's something wrong with the laptop. Probably because my pawrents have been hacking the internet connection and now there's no connection to hack anymore.. =(

I will be posting some videos maybe on my later post. I'll probably look for another video share since I'm having problems with youtube.

I went to the beach last Friday evening! Because it's a bit cooler at night and my pawrents are very keen to see if I'll like it..

Here I am all ready for a day at the beach! I'm looking very smug!

Then on the way.. I fell asleep on daddy's lap..

We reached the beach at 6:30 p.m.

We (mum, dad, grandmum and me) visited petland. It's like one of the 2 or 3 petshops here in U.A.E. I didn't count the ones in the marketplaces. This is where Daddy bought those pressies for me! (now I remember)

Hi furrends!

Leave it to my overly dramatic mum and my equally easily freaked out dad to turn a small pop into a nuclear bomb.

The truth is.. uhhh.. I had a eenie meenie teeny tiny bite of a spicy chicken which fell to the floor. I thought no one noticed.. but I guess my stomach did.

Anyhow, I got the chance to go out.. that's part of my plot to get Daddy to bring me to his office.

Whew, the consequences?

See for yourself..

1. I runned up the medical bill to a $100
2. I got injections (ouch!) - the vet said I'm very quiet during that time
3. I had to take medications - for deworming
4. soft food diet (no kibbles) - this is for 2 days.. it ain't bad because I can eat the Chicken and Rice (Royal Canin) instead of those boooring kibbles.

5. I got to go to my Daddy's office (a good thing)

6. I went back to my pen sentence (a bad thing) until I'm well.

Mommy and Daddy got suspicious since when I got out from the house, I'm not hacking anymore.. and I'm very keen to be in my carrier.. ooops.. my acting's a bit rusty..

"C'mon, c'mon.. we haven't got all day! I'm sick.. remember?? Now zip me up and let's go go go"
Mommy went to Daddy's office after work. When Mommy tried to check if I'm okay...

Hi! This is Irvi (Toffee's Mom)!

Toffee was supposed to tell about his long overdue weekend escapade but he got sick yesterday evening.

Actually, I was home that time in the evening and he is his usual frisky self.. hanging with me.. following me around.. he was sort of hacking at one point but I thought it's because he's sneezing.

Toffee's Dad (Chris) came home a bit late and I told him about it. We watched him like a hawk over the whole evening (but no hacking was observed) and slept.

In the morning, I saw he had two spots on his bed.. I know it's not the pee as it has sort of solid in it and I told Chris to take him to the vet.

I went off to work and got a call from Chris that Toffee had hacked and vomited twice while he's at home and had brought Toffee with him to the vet.

Chris said maybe it had something to do about the bath. We bathed him twice. Once the last weekend and yesterday because we placed him in a pen on our hall and he had ran over his peepee pad so he got a bit stinky which we decided to give him a bath again and take him inside the room.

I do hope he's okay and We're really very worried about him.

My 1st Weekend (15-Jun-07)

Whee! Weekend! Wonder what's in store? After my ordeal last night I need a break.

Daddy and Mommy had to do household chores today. I decided to lend a "paw"

Alright.. So I have to do the laundry...

Wait.. Hey.. how can I get in the laundry basket?

Okay so.. these are the whites..

All these segregating makes me tired..

Now Daddy has to clean the house... I don't like this monster (that blue one)! I better silently move out before it attacks.. I'm keeping my paws crossed it wouldn't notice me..

Is it safe to come out now?

We went to this Marketplace to buy my leash. I saw many dreadful things that I don't want to show you..

We went in a shop.. the puppies look nice. They're in a glass jail. I feel sorry for them..

We went to another shop. This time, I feel more worried because they are in a cage. One of them looks very young. The shopkeeper said, she's new. I tried to speak with her but she looks spaced out. Poor little thing. I heard she's only 4 weeks old. Oh my, that's too young to be away from pawrents!

Good thing we left that dreary place.. Daddy decided to buy my leash elsewhere. Anyway, I don't need them yet since it's still very hot for a walk.

We went to Grandpawrents! I saw them for the 1st time! They were sooooo happy to see me! They gave me a soft ball. I better hide this ball before they take it back..

Wow! That's so many things done on a one day weekend. I think I need a weekend to recover from this weekend! I'm bushed!

I'm getting the hang of this pawogging!!! Now, I can do other stuffs while waiting for Mommy and Daddy to come home.

I make wrong poopy again! I don't know why I look to go poopy in the middle of the room. But I done one poopy on my peepee pad. Maybe I don't like to do it at the same location.

Mommy and Daddy are tired from work... and they saw "bad" me make wrong poopy again.. they ignored me and went to big bed. :( which I can't climb...

"Mommy... Daddy... I'm sorry..."

My "sorry-pathetic" look works great!. "you forgive me???" (tail wags)

Now I want to play! I began pulling Mommy's dress..

And pulling... "Mommy! I wanna play!"

TOFFEE... DAY 2 (12-JUN-07)

I fully recuperated from yesterdays activities. Slept the whole day while mommy and daddy is at work.

I saw mommy got up 1st. She replenished my water. I saw she placed a bowl of sliced apples (yum!). I want to get up but I'm still very sleepy! Imagine mommy wakes up at 5:00 a.m.!!!

Then I saw daddy, he woke up at 7:00 a.m. Doesn't anybody sleep late anymore?? At this time, I feel bloated. So, since I'm new (my excuse).. I try to make the best place where I could potty.. I make wee wee at my pee pee pads (mom and dad are very happy with it so thought I should continue..) but I got confused on the poopy part.. must be the sleepiness.. I pooped on the carpet.. (oppps)

Daddy came from the shower.. (I'm trying to figure where I can hide..) He saw my poopy.. He got stern and said I'm bad.. :( Then he started to ignore me while picking my poopy. :(

Before he left, he gave me a toy pacifier. So I think he forgives me. I'll try to do better so Daddy and Mommy will be happy.

Now both mommy and daddy is gone, I have a chance to plan my reign over the big bed! Let me try to climb...
